Browsing your Backup Image to recover an individual file or directory

There are times when, by accident, a file is deleted or overwritten, resulting in the loss of the
information you cherish. Restoring your entire Drive C: simply to recover a few files or a
directory can be extreme and in many cases unnecessary.

DriveImage XML allows for the ability to browse a backup image and to selectively restore
single files and directories without having to restore the entire backup image. In the following
example, we will overwrite a document with incorrect data and then save it, resulting in the
original content being lost. Thanks to DriveImage XML, our file will be completely recoverable!
As you can see in the middle of
the screen, I have a text file
named
Important Document
and beside the icon I have it
open to display the contents
I will go ahead and rewrite the
contents to something other then
what was there before and save it.
